AMRO Forestry and our partners are helping landowners conduct high-quality forest management funded by a US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Climate-Smart Commodities award.
Our project ‘Sustainable forestry for climate-smart wood products’ supports the production and marketing of climate-smart forest commodities by providing incentives to producers and landowners to implement sustainable forest management practices, activities, and systems on working forest lands. The benefits of proper forest management achieved via this project include higher financial returns to the landowners, increased carbon storage, improved local supply chains, and increased awareness of climate-smart products.
We are looking for landowners who are interested in harvesting their property, with the award allowing us to assist them with timber sales that achieve their goals and objectives.
Forest landowners may also apply to this project to plan or implement additional forest management practices including tree planting, invasive or interfering brush species management, and forest thinning, among others.
